True Tail - Smart Pet Collar Product Design
UX/UI Designer
Collaborated with a cross functional team to design the UI and UX for a conceptual online store and mobile app. My contributions included developing user personas, creating responsive wireframes, and designing brand visuals such as the logo and collar imagery using Adobe tools and Figma to ensure a cohesive experience across platforms.
This project strengthened my ability to apply user research and journey mapping to real design decisions, develop cohesive branding using Adobe Creative Suite, and design accessible, emotionally driven web and mobile experiences in Figma.
B-Town Bus System - Implementing Campus Wide Bus Screens
UX Researcher & Designer
This group project focused on improving the Indiana University campus bus system through the conceptual design of digital information screens for bus stops. Our team researched common challenges such as unclear routes, accessibility gaps, and real time tracking issues, then designed high fidelity screen prototypes in Figma to help riders quickly identify the correct bus and view live arrival updates. My contributions included creating user scenarios, refining visual hierarchy, and designing all screens to enhance clarity, accessibility, and navigation.
This project reinforced the importance of usability testing and real user feedback in refining design decisions. I strengthened my ability to improve visual hierarchy, accessibility, and user flow while collaborating on solutions grounded in user needs.
RentMatch - Database Driven Housing Platform
Full-Stack Web Developer
RentMatch is a full-stack web application designed to connect college students with available rental housing. The platform allows homeowners to list and manage properties while enabling renters to browse listings and submit interest forms through a database-driven system built with PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.
Focused on database design, efficient data flow, and clear application logic to support a smooth experience for both renters and property owners.
Hardware Store Management System
Backend Developer
Developed an object-oriented Java system simulating hardware store operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and lumber processing. Implemented core Java concepts such as file I/O, recursion, and data structures to automate scheduling and inventory updates. Applied algorithmic logic to ensure fair staff scheduling and efficient resource management.
Learned how to apply object-oriented principles, file handling, and algorithmic logic to build a modular, maintainable Java system.
Community Event Website - Bloomington Book Festival
Web Designer
Worked collaboratively with a team to research a real world client's needs and design a functional website using Google Sites. Applied the technology design process through research, content organization, visual design, and usability considerations to deliver a clear, client focused solution that effectively communicated event information and goals.
This project taught me how to apply the technology design process to a real world client need while collaborating effectively within a team. I strengthened my skills in user focused content organization, visual design using Google Sites, and clearly communicating design decisions to both peers and stakeholders.
